Richard I. Zivi, Jr., CPA

Rick has a wealth of knowledge used in financial, investment, and business planning. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.  He was awarded the Chancellor’s Citation by graduating number one in the School of Business.   After working for Arthur Anderson in Atlanta for several years, he gained valuable experience running his own business.  He started with NBZ in 1989.

Rick has significant experience with structuring small and large businesses, partnership tax, real estate, divorce planning, and consulting. Rick also focuses on investment planning as a registered investment advisor and partner in NBZ Investment Advisors, LLC.  

Rick is on the financial committee for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and has served on several boards including the Bearden Foundation and United Way.  Rick is a member of the AICPA and the TSCPA.


Lucinda J. Segers, CPA

Cindy offers a broad range of experience serving the tax consulting and compliance needs of small businesses and individuals located in East Tennessee.  In addition, Cindy has significant experience with financial reporting including compilation and review of financial statements.  Her industry experience includes various retail service providers, research and development companies, professional service firms, restaurant operators, trucking companies, manufacturers and various other closely-held businesses.

Cindy is a 1985 graduate of Carson Newman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.   Prior to joining the firm in 1991, Cindy worked as an accountant for a real estate development company and as an auditor in another local public accounting firm.

Cindy is a member of the AICPA and the TSCPA.  She serves on the board of the Sertoma Center and fills many roles at her church.

Kimberly M. Peters, CPA

Kim is experienced in working with small businesses, partnership taxation, and computer consulting. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a masters and a concentration in tax accounting. She immediately started working for NBZ in 1990.  

Kim has developed expertise in many areas within partnership and corporation tax laws. Her industry experience includes retail, construction, hotels, veterinarians, cemeteries, and real estate entities.

She is a member of the AICPA and TSCPA. She also serves on the board for The King's Academy and on the Committee for the Future at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.  Kim has served as treasurer of her church.


Terry R. Hall, Jr., CPA

Terry has over 23 years experience serving as the trusted tax and business advisor for a wide range of clients.  His areas of practice have included manufacturing, construction, real estate investment and development, medical services, food services and franchise operations.  He also provides litigation support services including expert witness testimony for various accounting related legal issues. 

Terry graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1993.  He then received his Masters of Accountancy with a concentration in taxation in 1994.  After three years of full time employment, he became a partner with another local firm gaining over 23 years of experience prior to joining NBZ in 2015.

Terry is active at Central Baptist Church of Bearden currently serving on the financial committee.  He is also the treasurer for The Lighthouse at Austin Homes, Inc. and serves on the audit committee for the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachia. He is also a member of the AICPA and the TSCPA.

Bradley E. Stooksbury, CPA

An East Tennessee native, Brad began his career in public accounting after graduating from the University of Tennessee with highest honors.  Brad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Accountancy degree with a tax concentration.

Brad joined the NBZ team in 2015 after 16 years with another established Knoxville firm. Providing tax and business advisory services primarily to entrepreneurs and their businesses,  Brad has experience with many industries and business types, including manufacturers, retailers, contractors and service providers.  He enjoys developing deep, longstanding relationships with his clients, believing strong connections are key to success in every aspect of life. 

Outside of the office, Brad’s favorite activities involve spending time with his wife and three children.  In addition, he enjoys most anything active including playing sports, coaching his children’s teams, and tackling projects at home.  Brad also serves as treasurer for YOKE Youth Ministries and is a member of the leadership team at Fellowship Church Pellissippi.
